Non-surgical permanent upper lip lifting and correction by Dr Hotaki
Another unique procedure I have developed is non-surgical permanent upper lip lifting and correction.
Lift the lip. Refine proportions. Preserve individuality.
The position of the upper lip influences the proportions of the central face. In my author-developed technique, I address its position and philtrum height — the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip. My aim is lifting and correction tailored to anatomy, symmetry and the desired result.
No skin removal and no skin stitches
My technique allows upper lip lifting and correction without excising a strip of skin beneath the nose and without skin stitches. Its defining feature is repositioning tissue without creating the linear scar associated with surgical skin excision.
More than 75 procedures in my clinical practice
I have performed more than 75 upper lip lifting and correction procedures using my technique. This clinical experience informs my assessment of facial proportions and individual correction planning.
An author-developed implant and precise planning
I use a flexible non-absorbable implant and a needle I developed to support the tissues. “Permanent” refers to the non-absorbable material and its intended long-term mechanical support; natural ageing continues.
Individual correction of philtrum height
I assess the distance from the nose base to the upper lip, the lip contour, pre-existing asymmetry and the relationship between the upper and lower lips. I tailor the degree of elevation to facial harmony and the patient’s individual features.
